Dear Parishioners,

We trust that you are aware of the ongoing efforts to address the maintenance needs of our cherished St. Benedict the Moor. Thus far, we’ve made significant strides in enhancing the church’s infrastructure. Notably, we successfully repaired the ceiling, adorned the sanctuary with new rails, and revitalized the offices with a fresh and updated appearance.

Presently, our attention has shifted to the rectory, where a comprehensive renovation is underway. Taking a methodical approach, we are pleased to announce the completion of the initial phase, focusing on the kitchen and living room areas.

In the kitchen, we’ve transitioned from a vintage aesthetic to a contemporary and stylish design. This involved the installation of new plumbing beneath a gleaming sink, countertop, and cabinets. The outdated stove, microwave, and dishwasher have gracefully retired, making way for a modern set of appliances. Our improvements extend beyond aesthetics; we have overhauled the kitchen’s internal systems, upgrading both electrical and gas installations for seamless functionality.

A fresh coat of paint now adorns the walls, and the floors have undergone a transformative makeover. We are delighted with the outcome and invite you to peruse the attached photos, which vividly capture the progress made thus far.

While this marks a significant milestone, our journey is far from over. The next phase of the project is underway, as we strive to breathe new life into the rectory, undertaking each aspect one project at a time. We encourage you to stay engaged and anticipate the continued transformation of St. Benedict’s into a sanctuary for generations to come.
