Last Sunday, November 17, St. Benedict the Moor Parish gathered to celebrate a momentous occasion: the rededication of the Imperial Room. In light of the recent updates to our parish hall, it seemed fitting to ask for God’s blessing on this renewed meeting space, which will serve as a hub for community events in the years to come.
The celebration began with a blessing of the hall, followed by a special recognition of the Lancaster Family. Their generosity and assistance were instrumental in transforming the parish hall into a more welcoming and beautiful space. As a token of our deep gratitude, a plaque has been placed in the Imperial Room in memory of Charlynn Lancaster and the Lancaster Family. We were truly blessed to have the Lancaster Family join us for the blessing and the meal that followed.
We extend heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to this special day, particularly our parishioners and the Community Sunday Committee for organizing, preparing, and serving the delicious meal we shared together. A special shout-out goes to our Faith Formation youth, whose kindness and service were evident as they helped serve the food.
It was a grace-filled day, reminding us of the strength and love within our parish community. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration possible. May God continue to bless our parish and all those who walk through the doors of the Imperial Room!
God bless you all!
